Ella Lovins is an emerging American-born artist currently working in portraiture. Her paintings strive to depict her subject's emotional experiences. Given that her portraits are often of family and friends, she also tries to convey their individual personalities.

 

Ella works mainly in oils and digital painting. Drawing on a childhood filled with fairy tales and old Hollywood movies, she creates work that feels at times modern, and at times otherworldly. Many of her paintings include bright colors and light sources illuminating her subjects.
